Bowman 2020 Is So Overhyped

Topps released Bowman 2020 in the middle of the huge hobby bubble that has been going on this year and the prices for boxers have been staggering. I see hobby boxes going for close to $300 on Ebay  regularly. I feel like the hype around Bowman is not so much for the product itself, but rather the hype that has been in the hobby all year and is spreading to any product that is remotely popular.

COMC's Mailbox Service and Washington State Sales Tax

Tonight I made my first card purchases off Ebay in a couple of years. I've been wanting to get into collecting soccer cards, and with Bundesliga the only team sport playing right now, I figured this is as good a time as any to really get into soccer.

Count Me Among Those Who Like Project 2020

One of the big talks of the hobby world right now are the Topps Project 2020 cards. These are the online exclusive cards that feature artistic interpretations of famous Topps rookie cards, mostly from the junk wax era.

My First Ebay Sales

I made my first Ebay sales since returning to the hobby. They are far, far from my first Ebay sales ever, but just my first recent ones. I've also sold other things on Ebay in the past couple of years, but not cards.

My Favourite PC Card

This Gretzky card is one of the genuine holy grails of my collection. It's not so much this particular card that is a holy grail, but just owning a Gretzky autograph itself.

It's a pretty slick card, numbered to only ten copies. It's from Upper Deck's Black Diamond release.

It's not so much the low serial number that I like about this autograph, but that Gretzky is pictured with the Edmonton Oilers. I love collecting Gretzky cards where he is pictured with the Oilers. It's like Jordan with the Bulls or Joe Montana with the 49ers.

I intend to never part with this card, and although it is probably the most expensive card in my collection, its monetary value means little to me.

Which of your PC cards mean the most to you?

All of My Social Media in One Post

Here's where you can find me on social media and other sports related sites.

I'm on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/sportshobbylove/. I just started the Instagram and am going to post lots of photos of my growing collection there. Feel free to drop me a follow, or send me a DM there.

My Ebay username is theblindtiger1984.

I'm on the Trading Card DB at theblindtiger.

You can also find me on Facebook if you want, but I don't really post anything hobby related there. I am a member of a huge number of Facebook hobby groups, but I find the quality of discussion on that site not so good.

Feel free to drop your social media in the comments and I'll give you a follow.

The Cost of Shipping in Canada is Ridiculous

Yesterday I shipped out packages from my first Ebay sales in years. Back at Christmas I had bought a bunch of packs of this year's Hoops and Donruss from a Walmart nearby. I had good luck and I pulled a couple of Ja Morant rookie cards and a Zion Donruss rookie. I basically didn't think too much about them since Christmas and put them in away in a box.

Patience is a Virtue, Especially When Selling Cards on Ebay

I've started listing cards again on Ebay for the first time in a long time. I'm not a huge Ebay fan.

Hobby Love During the Pandemic

With the lack of sports around, you'd think the popularity of the hobby would take a huge hit. I mean, who is going to want to drop a pile of cash on baseball cards when you can't even watch baseball, right?
